My alertness seems to be taking a nosedive. and besides, I'm finding that subs don't always show up on screen, even though they exist, which means using a resource-challenged computer that doesn't handle the recordings from high definition channels - choppy playback, subs not showing up properly or sometimes at all - so I record, extract subs, output through VRD, drop resolution through Handbrake (high time I give that a go in VRD, now I'm more familiar with the program and less concerned about messing up a setting!) presto! something I can actually watch in VLC with the subs run from an. No, as far as I know, I'm not doing anything I shouldn't (legal-wise) but with all the migraines, I often miss shows I want to see and I've discovered my current set top box records everything it needs to but only plays back part of a show. I'm partially deaf and sometimes I'm very reliant on the subs. I'd really love to be able to do all my conversion with VRD or at least chop adverts and then throw it at Handbrake but without losing subs along the way. If you need me to, I can check by running some samples through telxcc - I'm fairly sure which channels were giving difficulty. If you need a sample so you can check, do you need one for each group of channels or just one sample from one channel or a sample from every channel? I know it used to be that I could extract subs from shows with telxcc but that didn't work for all the channels so now I use ProjectX and that handles every channel, so I don't know if the networks are still doing things differently sub-wise to each other. If it doesn't, and you know that, does version 5? TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5 Ver.5.0.6.Does VRD 4.21.10.681 handle Australian subs, do you know? I'm not very savvy on subtitles except to know that on our remotes, if we use the teletext method, it's page 801. Improved editing or filtering functions, popular MKV or WebM format support, and other new features are expanding the limits of TMPGEnc, becoming a complete Encoding Solution. Therefore, we have re-examined what constitutes an encoder, and decided to release a new product to answer those new needs. While such needs still exist today, video sharing websites, mobile devices offering video playback, and other video viewing options have become the main and most often targeted use. Previous generations of encoders were used to compress high quality videos and making them small enough to fit in hard disk drives with small capacities, or often tasked to meet DVD-Video, Blu-ray Disc or other specific format requirements.
It offers a completely new timeline and layer editing function, making it possible to not only create materials, but also bring creative, original video mastering and output to the best formats available. This is TMPGEnc, the standard choice of encoding software, reborn in its latest version: TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5. The successor to the award-winning TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress is here! Supporting many input and output formats, detailed parameter settings, a fast and precise cut-edit function, video format conversion, compression, and material creation.
